This newsletter is for people who did NOT hate history in high school. It’s for those of us who believe that roots, origin stories, and past experiences shape individuals, communities, and cultures, and have a big impact on the present. We’re independent thinkers who don’t mindlessly accept soundbites. We know nothing is black and white and we revel in exploring the gray areas, even when it leads to more questions than answers. We think that the past may be the single most important factor in why things are the way they are today.
